"Hot new startup looking to revolutionize computing and food. Buy."
G-TECH is a "goofood and biocomputing" startup in the world of Cruelty Squad.
As stated in the Paradise mission description, the Cruelty Squad organization granted them a "significant seed capital of around five billion dollars" aswell as proprietary research data to help them kickstart in the goofood and biocomputing industry, where they have not-only failed to produce any result but also sold the research data to their competitors for large sums of money, which they have used to buy chunkopops and expensive properties at the elite gated community. The player is then sent to liquidate the G-TECH team, namely the Chunkopop Exec, the Blue House Exec and the Qurpit Exec.
Once the mission is complete, G-TECH will implode and their stocks will rapidly decline in value until they become worthless and unbuyable. Their competitors, Veggo's Meatoids, will begin to rise.
Trivia[]
- Their full name, GOATSE TECH, as seen on the Chunkopop Exec shirt, is an allusion to Goatse Security, a group of hackers whos name and logo themselves draw reference from the internet shock meme "goatse".
- The Qurpit G-Tech Exec, from his dialogue, seems to be a parody of developers of a decentralised personal server framework called Urbit, described as an operating system but is actually at the moment just a web interface for their own apps built on the Ethereum blockchain. They praise and also hate on AI at the same time. They created their own programming language, Hoon, which by and large nobody understands except about 400 devs they've trained themselves. The programming language includes Limbs, Wings, Auras, and Runes.
