Fleshmen are vaguely human-shaped monsters with massive, bloated heads. Some behave like basic Civilians, others attack with a BAG-82 handgun.
When a fleshman is gibbed a fleshrat escapes their body and attacks the player. This makes fighting fleshmen in a crowd an ever-escalating situation. Additionally, attempting to devour their corpses will inflict Toxic Shock on the player.
While fleshrats are confirmed as bioengineered by Pharmakokinetiks, it is not entirely clear whether Fleshmen existed in some manner beforehand, as the Fatberg family and Psykers seem to have big heads in seperate instances or processes, respectively. If they are truly a recent manifestation, then the fleshrat virus is extremely virulent, passing across the world aggressively.
